Nottingham Forest and Everton will stay up even though they have breached FFP!?

The Premier League has confirmed that Everton and Nottingham Forest have been charged with breaching Financial Fair Play for the past season.

Both clubs have been referred to an independent commission for allegedly breaching profit and sustainability rules for the 2022-23 season.

Having already been deducted ten points by the Premier League, Everton face another points deduction for the latest breach of FFP rules.

Under the current Premier League rules, clubs can only lose a maximum of £105 million over three seasons, or £35 million in a season before facing sanctions.

If Everton hadn't been deducted any points, they would currently be sat in 12th position while Forest would stay where they are in 15^th.

Despite that, with Everton's current ten-point deduction and the possibility for both clubs to be deducted six points, they would be sat in the Premier League relegation zone.

However, according to 'Bettingexpert's' supercomputer, BETSiE, Everton, and Nottingham Forest will stay up despite being penalized for breaching FFP.

The supercomputer has predicted that Nottingham Forest will finish in 17^th place with 35.2 points and Everton will finish one place above with 35.8 points, keeping the current bottom three as it is.

The supercomputer has predicted the teams will stay up this season, but their percentage chance of relegation has increased.

Everton's probability of being relegated has been increased by 4.6%, while Nottingham Forest's has gone up by 6.4%

Everton had an unbelievable run off the back of being deducted ten points in December, winning four Premier League games in a row, including wins against Chelsea and Newcastle United.

Over Christmas and New Year, results seem to have stagnated, losing four in a row and drawing two before beating Crystal Palace in an FA Cup replay.

Forest would be put into the relegation zone if they were deducted points, but after two wins in two for new boss Nuno Espirito Santo, Forest looked to have turned the corner.

Forest is set to appeal their charge and use the sale of Brennan Johnson to support the case after selling the winger to Tottenham Hotspur for £47.5 million in the summer.

The midlands club rejected a bid of £30 million from Brentford in June, but had they accepted, the money would have reduced their overall losses between 2020 and 2023.
