The next £110m superstar Florentino Perez wants to bring to Real Madrid
Real Madrid is by far the most successful European football club in recent years, winning another Champions League against Dortmund. Club president Florentino Perez, however, is looking for ways to extend Los Blancos' dominance, even after the transfer of Kylian Mbappe to the Spanish capital.
According to 'DefensaCentral', Real Madrid want to sign Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen next summer to strengthen their squad. The German midfielder had an excellent season, winning the double with the 'The Black and Reds'.
Wirtz, 21, played a key role in those successes, contributing 18 goals and 20 assists in 49 appearances, according to Transfermarkt.

On more than one occasion, Wirtz provided a touch of genius for Leverkusen this season, showcasing his dribbling prowess and world-class technical skills. WhoScored also adds passing and long-range shooting to his range of skills.
Under the guidance of Xabi Alonso, Wirtz has developed rapidly, becoming one of the best players in Europe. With the Spaniard on board for at least one more season, the Bundesliga website confirms, Wirtz is unlikely to leave as early as this summer, something Real Madrid seem to be aware of.
Doing better than last season will be a difficult task for Leverkusen and Wirtz, who went unbeaten in the Bundesliga, won the DFB-Pokal and reached the Europa League final.
Wirtz has a contract until mid-2027 at the BayArena, where he broke through and became the fourth-youngest Bundesliga player to make his debut at just 17 years and 15 days, per Transfermarkt.
Wirtz is one of the most promising players in European football, which is reflected in his market value. According to Transfermarkt, the midfielder should cost €130 million (£110.5m/$141m).
However, Real Madrid are no strangers to breaking the bank for a player they really want, as Los Blancos have paid astronomical sums for the likes of Eden Hazard and current star Jude Bellingham in the recent past.
Let's hope that Wirtz's potential Real Madrid career follows the example of Bellingham and not that of Hazard, who flopped completely in the Spanish capital. What do you think? Would Wirtz succeed at Madrid?
